Athara started the way the best companies often do not with a business plan, but with a problem worth solving. Atheef and Shihara had spent years watching Sri Lankan businesses get left behind: either priced out of international software or stuck with poorly-built local tools that created more problems than they solved. There was a gap, and they knew they could close it.
The early days were lean. They built websites, took on every kind of digital project, and listened closely to every client. What they kept hearing was the same thing: businesses needed more than a website they needed proper systems. Management tools. Inventory tracking. Reports that actually made sense. So Athara built them.
SchoolManager.lk came first, followed by Store Manager, then Garage Manager. Each product was born out of a real conversation with a real business owner who had a real problem. That pattern listen, build, refine hasn't changed.
Today Athara serves businesses across Sri Lanka with a full product suite, web development, custom software, and digital marketing all from a team that treats every client like a long-term partner.
